Today was the Candlewood Valleys 30th Anniversary photo shoot. They had 26 Corvettes, ranging from the old Stingray to the new Z06′s, line-up on the runway of the Danbury Airport to create the number 30. It was a pretty cool sight to behold, but the coolest part was I got to ride in one! They are extremely small, but awesome! And then, of course, I got to do some shooting.
I tried to focus on some of the cars intricate details, as I didn’t want the usual static photo. I used the Nikkor Micro 105mm f/2.8 VR throughout the photo shoot, as it gave me the ability to have a shallow DOF. I think I came out with some pretty cool shots.
As the event wrapped up, the cars moved off the runway, which allowed to me to try and get some shots of the wheel motion. By increasing my aperture to f/22, it gave me a slow enough shutter speed to show motion in the wheels. It just came down to good panning technique to get the rest of the car shot and viola!

pretty cool… now you have found yet another subject… pretty soon you’ll be an eclectic photographer, just like me.
