Happy Thanksgiving to everyone reading this! You’re probably wondering why there is no photos of Turkeys, and the reason is they have eluded me. Besides the one in the oven right now, I haven’t been fortunate enough to come in close contact with one. However, I am thankful for all of the critters that I have been given the opportunity to photograph. Us Connecticut bird photographers were extremely fortunate to have a 2010 full of rarities. Although 2011 wasn’t as high in rarities, there were still a couple that stayed for a day or two. I was able to photograph this American Golden Plover at the Cabela’s Pond in Storrs, CT. The bird moved around the pond in beautiful golden light! I was extremely fortunate to have the gear and knowledge to make the shot.
I’m also thankful for everyone that has helped me pursue my photography career, and who got me where I am today. My parents are my biggest supporters, and are the reason why I am who I am today. Also, thank you to everyone that has read my blog and supported me through the purchase of my prints. I hope to pursue my career in photography, so please know, you are the ones that pushed me out of the starting gate! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

and thank you…. for being such an inspiration to me…
