Common Yellowthroat (Female)

Today was a very good day! I went down to the open water swamp today, and spotted a Female Common Yellowthroat foraging in the reeds. I also spotted an Eastern Phoebe sitting on a snag near the water. Back home there wasn’t much action at all. I went out to try to get some feeder shots a few times, but had no luck. I went out for one more time, and I was rewarded! There was a Red-breasted Nuthatch right on the feeders! It then proceeded to forage in the pine tree, in which I was standing beneath. It often came down to the lowest branch right above my head to investigate my flash! (ID Tip: The Red-breasted Nuthatch is much smaller than the common, White-breasted Nuthatch. It is often seen at feeders during the winter time. Note the black mask that covers the eye as well as rusty colored breast.)
