The New Standard for HDR

Most of you know that I am not a huge fan of HDR, but sometimes it just can’t be avoided! Nik Software has come out with HDR Efex Pro 2, and it is light years ahead of its predecessor. I did a quick comparison using the same series of shots, and there is a very noticeable difference which is quite surprising.

This image was processed using HDR Efex Pro, and you can see it is quite dull. What I like the most about the program is it gives the images pop without making them un-natural. The program can be purchased for $99. I’m demoing it right now, but I am certainly hooked!

WOW… so was this just an ordinary photo or did you take it with HDR in mind? eitherway it came out great.

It was a 6 exposure series that was intended to be an HDR. The new HDR program does a heck of a job!
