Avenue of the Oaks

We also visited the Boone Hall Plantation during our stay. The driveway to the main house is lined with 88 live oak trees that cascade over the road. As you can imagine, it makes for a pretty nice photograph. You have the leading line of the dirt road leading you deep into the frame, and then the rich green colors of the oak trees surrounding it.

When you step off the road, the view completely changes. I switched over to my telephoto lens to try and isolate some of the details in the spanish moss hanging off of the trees. It made for a really pleasing B&W image!
