When the Sun Gets Low

One of my favorite things to do when the sun gets low on the horizon is to place it to the side of a subject. I was able to do this on the night of the Danbury Fair Mall fireworks. I had just come down from my formation flight, and the Pitts was going out again for another flight. As the pilot did his run-up on the taxiway, I was able to compose a pretty interesting shot with the light hitting the trees and grass in the background just right. It gives the image a very golden feel, and to me, shows the wonder of an evening flight in the summer.
